Summer

This summer has been the sort of summer that summer should be. Things have slowed down considerably at work, leaving most of my evenings free to pursue the things I enjoy. Training for the 1/2 marathon has been hard work, but satisfying. Plus all the exercise has kept me more focused and given me more energy. My pottery class has been fun, but not very satisfying (that is a post for another time). I'm dipping back into Greek (so much to re-learn) and tomorrow I'll need to take my French I book off the shelf to get ready for the trip to Quebec in a couple of weeks. I've even practiced my flute a few times to get ready to play a duet at our congregation's Evening in the Garden Event in August.

I am happy. I am grateful. I am often surprised by joy. It is the sort of summer that summer should be.

And, of course, there is a garden...
